Enlargements from Odd Sized Originals
|
Odd sized negative or slides are any slide or negative that
is not a 35mm, APS, 120/220 medium format (6.45, 6x6 or 6x7 format) size.
Odd sized originals include but are not limited to: 110, 126, 127,
620, 818, 820, 35mm glass mounted slides, sheet film like 4x5, 8x10 and
11x14, Polaroid slide film, Hasselblad and super wide originals, |
|
Because of the size and shape of these odd
sized originals they cannot be put through today's convention machines so
they typically must be hand scanned and then printed.
The minimum scan charge is $ 5.00 for 8x10 and smaller prints
$ 10.00 for anything lager than 8x10,
Prints are not included and are an additional price listed below.
Gang scans (where more than one original is
scanned at the same time) and other time and labor saving efforts will be
made if possible. This is not always possible since the originals may
be of different exposures and cannot be canned together. |

Why are prints from my odd sized
originals cropped?
Always have your pictures printed full frame, unless you want
cropping. If you specify a cropped size we may have to crop it for you, this
is usually not a problem unless there is something of significance in the
background that we don't know about. Since there is a difference in the aspect ratios from
different sizes of film and digital cameras there are going to be different sizes. If your camera is 35mm or 2:3 format, or your full frame
print are multiple of 2:3, example: 4x6, 6x8, 8x12, 12x18. 16x24, 20x30.
If your camera is 6.45 format or 1:1.3 format, or your full frame
print are multiple of 1:1.3, example: 4x5, 8x10, 11x14. 16x20, 20x24. |
